Market Range: 16 Hiring Salary: Salary Commensurate with Education and Experience THIS IS A GRANT-FUNDED POSITION JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Director coordinates and oversees the development and implementation of the program. The Director maintains the business operations, including preparing budget documents, coordinating accounting activities, administration, and the coordination of grants and contracts. This position serves as the primary point of operational and administrative contact for internal and external entities reinforcing relationships with community stakeholders, partners, and funders. This position oversees and/or participates in the coordination, supervision, and completion of special projects and/or events.
Duties And Responsibilities
Designs, plans, and aligns the strategic direction of the programs; conducts strategic planning and creates annual goals.
Develops and sustains strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the community.
Maintains operationalization and oversight of clinic and all programs including but not limited to analytics, outreach, and training staff.
Maintains effective communication with the Principal Investigators of the grant, ensures alignment with the expectations and goals of the Kimmons Foundation, and alignment with the Soulsville Foundation.
Manages public outreach, social marketing, and community education campaigns aligned with UTHSC.
Oversees or delivers presentations to communicate the project's purpose, value, and importance to the community.
Directs all program purchasing, accounts payable, and payroll functions.
Approves expenditures in accordance with grant objectives, determines appropriate sources of funding, and ensures that appropriate records are maintained.
Directs all program pre- and post-award activities, including budget development, financial reporting, and monitoring expenditures to ensure compliance with appropriate guidelines and regulations.
Manages and oversees all aspects of human resource hiring, training, evaluations, and disciplinary actions in accordance with UTHSC policy and consultation with the Medical Director and Principal Investigator for the grant.
Responds to audit requests for information and/or directives; ensures compliance with relevant policies and that appropriate controls are in place.
Maintains the day-to-day operations at the Hub ensuring safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.
Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and university policies and procedures in the recruitment and hiring of personnel.
Identifies opportunities to develop and grow the organization.
Performs other duties as necessary.
Minimum Requirements EDUCATION : Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Educational or Social/Human Service Field or related area. (Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred.)(TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED) EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of related experience; OR Bachelor’s Degree and (7) years of related experience. Must have a valid Driver’s License and auto insurance.
Knowledge and experience working with healthcare providers and community stakeholders in Memphis.
Knowledge and experience incorporating marketing and other research techniques into patient and family engagement in healthcare knowledge and experience in implementing quality or process improvement efforts.
Skill and expertise in successful grant project management. Skills in long-range and short-range grant planning and supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills both written and verbal.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Good analytical and presentation skills.
Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments on sensitive, confidential issues.
Ability to organize and coordinate events and schedules.
