Leading off tonight, Portland State University announced it has shut down on Tuesday, April 30, because of safety reasons after far-left violent extremists associated with Antifa stormed and occupied the main library on campus.

Journalist Andy Ngo reported in a post to X that the university president allowed the encampment to grow over several days, “giving time for the extremists to recruit & broadcast plans to capture buildings like at Cal Poly Humboldt. Antifa are writing graffiti messages about blowing up banks and ‘genociding’ their enemies at the encampment, along with writing their logos and symbols. They have members set up at posts across the campus to monitor anyone who goes nearby, especially if they have a camera. Yesterday, a cameraman was attacked from behind and beaten.”
This is looking eerily reminiscent of some of the violent outbursts we saw in the summer of 2020, and it’s no coincidence that it’s starting to take shape again in 2024, another election year.

Meanwhile, the situation at Columbia University continues to spin out of control.
Columbia has been forced to close its campus indefinitely after ananti-Israel mobbroke into an academic building early Tuesday morning and were holding “hostages,” according to one report.
The X account Documenting Jew Hatred on Campus, posted an update Tuesday, April 30, that read as follows:
“Pro-Hamas is actively taking over @Columbia’s campus and holding Facilities members hostage. They have taken over Hamilton Hall and are moving outdoor picnic tables to the building to barricade themselves inside the building further. There are Facilities people locked inside Hamilton Hall with pro-Hamas. Public safety is aware and not doing anything to help them. Pro-Hamas students and faculty are domestic terrorists. The National Guard or NYPD must intervene.”

In a statement hours after anti-Israel agitators stormed the iconic Hamilton Hall on the Manhattan campus and barricaded its doors, the university said it would remain closed.
“Effective immediately, access to the Morningside campushas been limitedto students residing in residential buildings on campus (Carman, Furnald, John Jay, Hartley, Wallach, East Campus and Wien) and employees who provide essential services to campus buildings, labs and residential student life (for example, Dining, Public Safety, and building maintenance staff). There is no additional access to the Morningside campus,” a statement from the university said.
It added: “This access restriction will remain in place until circ*mstances allow otherwise.”

It took pro-Hamas activists breaking into and occupying a building at Columbia for the White House to finally issue a statement condemning this madness.

“President Biden has stood against repugnant, Antisemitic smears and violent rhetoric his entire life. He condemns the use of the term ‘intifada,’ as he has the other tragic and dangerous hate speech displayed in recent days. Judge Juan Merchan delivered a stiff rebuke to Donald Trump at the opening of court Tuesday morning by holding the former president in contempt for nine violations of the gag order in his criminal hush money trial.
Yahoo News reports that Merchan fined Trump $9,000 for violating a rule against making public statements about jurors, witnesses, prosecutors, court staff and members of their families. He also warned Trump that he could face incarceration if he continued to violate the order and gave him until 2:15 p.m. to remove social media posts related to the ruling.
The judge's decision came as prosecutors prepared to resume presenting their case against Trump, who is charged with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records to conceal a hush money payment to adult film actressStormy Danielson the eve of the 2016 election. The third week of the trial — which is expected to last six weeks — will see more testimony from bank officials as well as people who worked for Trump and allegedly had knowledge of the $130,000 payment made to Daniels.
On Tuesday, prosecutors called a handful of witnesses to the stand, including Gary Farro, First Republic Bank’s former senior managing director, who testified about working withMichael Cohento set up an account for a limited liability corporation that was used to pay Daniels.
Cohen, who was convicted of tax fraud and lying to Congress while working for Trump, will be called as a witness in the case.

LifeSite News reports that a middle-aged Christian woman was paraded into federal court this week in full shackles and says she has been punished with prolonged solitary confinement by Joe Biden’s Department of Justice.
Heather Idoni, a defendant in the Washington, D.C., FACE Act trials, told LifeSiteNews that she has been subjected to 22 days of solitary confinement.
The FACE Act stands for Freedom to Access Clinic Entrances, a law passed by Congress and signed by President Bill Clinton in 1994. It is now used to persecute Christians by sentencing them to extraordinarily long prison terms for peacefully assembling outside of abortion clinics.
In an exclusive interview with LifeSite, Heather Idoni said she received the severe punishment of solitary confinement after sharing food with fellow prisoners. Idoni alleged that she was allowed to walk outside her cell only for two hours in the middle of the night each day and that the lights of her cell were continually kept on. Idoni has been in prison since she was convicted last autumn.
Fellow pro-life advocate Cal Zastro, who joined Idoni in another traditional pro-life rescue in Tennessee and has also been convicted in Nashville of violating the FACE Act, told LifeSiteNews that when Idoni was brought into the courtroom for a pre-trial hearing in Detroit for yet another FACE Act trial, the U.S. marshal had the middle-aged woman shackled at the wrists, waist, and feet, as if she were a dangerous criminal.
Zastro said that, upon entering the courtroom, the shocked judge ordered the shackles removed. Initially the marshal agreed to remove the shackles from only one wrist to allow Idoni freedom to write, a concession necessary for her to take notes, as she was then representing herself in court. Only at the insistence of the indignant judge were the shackles of both wrists finally removed, although the marshal left the bars around her waist and feet.
Idoni faces over 50 years of incarceration in federal prison and over $1 million in fines for taking part in several peaceful pro-life rescues in Washington, D.C., Michigan, and Tennessee. Should Idoni receive maximum penalties in these cases, she will have been sentenced to the longest prison term in the history of the U.S. civil disobedience movement for human rights.
Idoni has continued to witness to her faith during her imprisonment and mistreatment. She told LifeSiteNews by phone from jail that she knows “God is going to be glorified” and that during her imprisonment she has “never not felt His presence.”

The Floridian reports that the Biden regime is now confirming that U.S. military personnel building the ocean pier in Gaza will likely be shot at from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
During a hearing in the House Armed Services Committee, Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida asked Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin if there was a likelihood of U.S. service members being shot at when deployed to Gaza as they build the so-called humanitarian pier.
Senator Rick Scott is on record saying that anyfunding measureto bring aid to Gaza is “the stupidest idea ever.”
Secretary Austin’s response is telling, and while he confirms U.S. military servicemen and servicewomen will likely be shot at, their presence does not constitute “boots on the ground.”
Even though they are not there in a combat role, Austin said the American soldiers “have the right to return fire to protect themselves.”
When Rep. Gaetz asserted, “You guys seem to be sort of saying that boots on a pier, connected to the ground, connected to servicemembers shooting into Gaza doesn't count as boots on the ground.” Austin responded simply by saying, “It does not.”

Texas Governor Greg Abbott said on Monday that his state would not abide by the Biden regime's new guidelines for transgender students in the revised Title IX rules published last week.
Texas becomes the second state to defy the Biden administration's new Title IX rules on transgender students. Last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made it clear that his state would also not comply.
DeSantis stated in a post to X:
“We are not gonna let Joe Biden try to inject men into women's activities. We are not gonna let Joe Biden undermine the rights of parents. And we are not gonna let Joe Biden abuse his constitutional authority to try to impose these policies on us here in Florida.”
Abbott's objections were simple and to the point, stating:

PJ Media notes that Biden's attempt to allow transgender individuals to compete on girls' teams is not going to be published until after the election, for obvious reasons, adding:
“The overriding question is, Does the federal government possess the constitutional authority to dictate policies based on the controversial belief that anyone can choose their sex? Federal anti-discrimination statutes recognize transgenderism as far as equality in the workplace. What the Biden administration is trying to do is graft the Supreme Court decision recognizing transgenderism in the workplace onto educational institutions.”

RT.com reports that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu (PRONOUNCED Shoygu) claims that the Ukrainian militaryhas experienced nearly 500,000 dead soldierssince February 2022.
Speaking at a ministerial meeting, Shoigu emphasized that Russian forces now hold the initiative on the front lines, pushing back Ukrainian troops and preventing them from maintaining defensive positions.
Addressing the United States’ planned allocation of $61 billion in military aid to Kiev, Shoigu expressed skepticism about its impact on the battlefield. He suggested that most of the funds would go toward U.S. military production rather than significantly altering the situation in Ukraine.
Shoigu criticized the U.S. approach, arguing that it effectively condones Ukrainian casualties in the conflict with Russia to serve American interests.
He said, “The American authorities cynically state that Ukrainians will be dying in the fight with Russia for their interests.”

There are strong indications that the most advanced U.S. tank in Washington’s arsenal is not faring too well in battle against cheap Russian drones.
The U.S. has sent Kiev a total of 31 M1 Abrams tanks, which cost $10 million apiece. The drones taking them out cost Russia about $500. According to the New York Times, as of late April, Moscow has taken out at least five Abrams, with three moremoderately damaged.
The Russian Defense Ministry has also released a video it claims shows the destruction of a U.S.-made M1 Abrams tank in the Donbass, which will be displayed at a trophy exhibition in Moscow.
A black-and-white clip shared by the ministry on Sunday shows the Russian military launching an anti-tank guided missile at a barely visible target, resulting in an explosion. The crew of the anti-tank system fired again, resulting in another explosion.

Another video, apparently filmed from a drone, shows the Abrams being hit on the side, with a large pillar of fire immediately erupting from the top of the vehicle. Three Ukrainian crew members are seen exiting the burning tank and crawling away from the danger zone. The Abrams crew is normally four, and it is unclear what happened to the remaining service member.
Images shared by the ministry show the Abrams was rendered completely inoperable by the missiles, with wheels and tracks missing and the compartment for the crew completely burned out.
Earlier in the day, RIA Novosti shared a clip of the tank being towed to the rear.
According to AP, the remaining Abrams tanks had to be pulled back to the rear by the Ukrainian command over fears of Russian drone strikes.

U.S. Congressman Jamaal Bowman, Democrat from New York, wants Palestinians, which would include terrorist-supporting, Hamas-supporting, Jew-hating Muslims, to be imported into the United States as “refugees.”
CBS News is also reporting that the Biden White House is hot to bring these Palestinians here.
This would be done under the Refugee Act of 1980 and include work permits, free education for their children, among other government handouts, and a fast-track to U.S. citizenship. Refugees that arrive in the U.S. at age 65 or older qualify almost immediately for Social Security, even though they have never worked a day in their lives in this country or paid a dollar in federal income taxes.

This is nothing new. The U.S. State Department has been contracting with the United Nations since 1981 to ship foreign refugees directly into U.S. cities and towns. They fly them in from Somalia, Sudan, Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan and many other countries, many of them countries hostile to America and Americans. Now they want to bring in the Palestinians.
They fly these refugees to America and other Western countries from UN camps all over the world, typically with little to no vetting, and they have a poor record of assimilation. As evidence of that, all you have to do is visit places like the Cedar Riverside district of Minneapolis or Hamtramck, Michigan.
Over the years, they have built up a Fifth Column of anti-American enclaves, nations within a nation, parallel societies. We already suffer from a lack of social cohesion in this country, some say we’re on the verge of civil war, and yet Congress is pouring gasoline on the fire by funding more resettlements of refugees from the Islamic world. All of this is documented, by the way, in the 2017 book, Stealth Invasion by Leo Hohmann.
Think of the possibilities. Sleeper cells and attacks on Americans, similar to what we saw in Israel on October 7, 2023.
Congress is totally complicit in the refugee resettlement program, which operates under the radar for the most part, coordinated by the U.S. State Department, which outsources the placement of refugees to nine NGOs, six of which are affiliated with religious organizations – the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, World Relief, Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services, Episcopal Migration Ministries, and Church World Services.
These NGOs are making millions of dollars every year resettling refugees into U.S. cities, compliments of the U.S. taxpayer.
This travesty needs to stop. Call your members of Congress and tell them to pull funding from the refugee resettlements now. Because if we don’t, there are nearly 1 million Palestinian Muslims who will be added to the list of so-called persecuted refugees bound for America.
