Administrative Overview and Funding

GOPASCO presently operates 11 fixed routes as well as a paratransit service program. Our fixed-route service covers the entire county from East Pasco’s Wesley Chapel to Zephyrhills to Dade City and West Pasco’s Holiday to New Port Richey to Hudson to Shady Hills. Five routes also offer regional connections:

  • Route 18 | Jolly Trolley and PSTA 66L
  • Route 19 | PSTA 19 and 66L
  • Route 20 | TheBus – Blue Route
  • Route 21 | TheBus – Purple Route
  • Route 54 | HART 275LX

Demand response service is available upon request to qualified and registered mobility impaired individuals, as well as those who are transportation disadvantaged qualified through the GOPASCO paratransit service program. The GOPASCO Administrative Office is located in Port Richey, with a satellite operation’s office in San Antonio. GOPASCO reports to the Pasco County Board of County Commissioners and is a part of the Public Service Branch. In addition to passenger fares, funding for GOPASCO is obtained through county ad valorem taxes, as well as state and federal grants.

Emergency Preparedness and Response

In the event of a natural disaster, GOPASCO is designated as an emergency support function for the Mass Evacuation Incident Annex. In this capacity, GOPASCO coordinates the evacuation efforts with other participating and available public and commercial transportation providers to ensure evacuees are transported safely and quickly to the nearest designated shelter. Our transportation evacuation function serves both ambulatory and non-ambulatory persons in the designated or declared evacuation zones. Support is provided as directed during voluntary and mandatory evacuations. Mandatory evacuation zones will receive priority support in terms of allocation and assignment of transportation resources.

GOPASCO also assists with:

  • Coordination of emergency transportation assistance in support of county departments, as well as other government and non-government agencies and organizations as directed by the appropriate Emergency Operations Center (EOC) authority
  • Coordination with other EOC functions to reduce the potential of duplication of efforts, to provide current resource and capability status, and to request information or assistance
  • Coordination with the School Board Transportation office to establish and provide evacuation routes to the public
  • Coordination with the Pasco County School Board Transportation Office to aid GOPASCO staff with staging buses, drivers and escorts in pre-established emergency operations areas throughout the county

Advertise on Buses and Benches

Advertising inside or outside GOPASCO buses is an effective and cost efficient form of advertising. Not only will you reach your target audience, but you can introduce your brand to new audiences. Transit ads generate valuable impressions that can lead to behavior changes, or call to actions – especially for people who travel the same route and view the same ads frequently. The average daily traffic count along one GOPASCO route (US 19) exceeds 80,000 vehicles.

GOPASCO ads connect with people throughout the county, are on the busiest roadways and in high traffic areas like shopping malls. GOPASCO’s bus ads also cover residential and commercial areas of the county not reached by outdoor billboards.
