Previously, we began Palom's Tale. Mysidia's ever-humble genius Black Mage has sailed to Troia. After exploring the town, he went to the castle, where he met his trainee, an Epopt apprentice named Leonora. Palom and Leonora must now climb the Tower of Trials, a new location in the south of the Troia region.Overworld:The party resumes on the Overworld outside of Troia. They head north to the Chocobo Village.Chocobo Village (time 0:24):They mount a Yellow Chocobo.Overworld (time 0:32):Mounted, the party can ford the rivers south of Troia and reach the Tower of Trials on the southern peninsula.Tower of Trials (time 0:58):A scene takes place at the exterior of the Tower of Trials. Leonora must find the Monastic Seal at the top if she is to become an Epopt. She opens the front door.The party regains control at the tower's exterior. There is nothing to find, so they go inside.A scene takes place on floor 1F. Palom teaches Leonora how to cast Fire. In a practice battle, Leonora learns the Black Magic spell "Fire?". She must cast it on the Fire Doll that Palom has conjured. The scene continues after the practice battle.After the scene, we gain control of the party on 1F. Just west of the entrance, a chest contains an Ether.As they traverse the western halls on 1F, a scene takes place. Palom pits Leonora solo against a Mini Red. When she has defeated it, she learns the Black Magic spell Fire. The scene continues after the battle.Another brief scene takes place when they continue on. Palom introduces Leonora to healing pots. Thankfully, these pots are scattered around the tower.In the southwestern dead end, chests contain a Gold Needle and Echo Herbs.Leonora reaches Level 11 and learns the White Magic spell Hold. I find Hold useful against certain stronger enemies in this chapter. Palom reaches Level 16.The party takes the western stairway up to floor 2F.Leonora reaches Level 12 and learns the White Magic spell Cura.In the north of 2F, the party saves at the save point.In the center, there are two chests in a dead end to the east. These chests contain a Phoenix Down and Echo Herbs.Leonora reaches Level 13 and learns the White Magic spell Slow. Palom reaches Level 17.As the party approaches the stairway in the middle of the area, another scene takes place. This time, Leonora alone must confront three Mini Reds. Fire on all enemies should win the battle easily.Afterwards, the party continues upstairs to 3F. Now, Palom teaches Leonora the Blizzard spell. She learns the Black Magic spell "Blizzard?". She must use it to defeat Palom's Blizzard Doll.After the scene, the party can go on to explore 3F.In a dead end in the west, a chest contains Phoenix Down.In the southeast dead end, chests contain a Tent and Holy Arrows.There is another healing pot in the north.Leonora reaches Level 14.In the northeast, the party can access the stairway to the eastern part of 4F.In the south of 4F, the party saves at a save point.South of the northeastern stairway, the party finds a chest with an Ether.Palom reaches Level 18.As the party approaches the northeastern stairway, another scene takes place. Three Mini Blues await, and Leonora must handle them solo. They are vulnerable to ice, but the "Blizzard?" spell is kind of weak. After winning this battle, Leonora learns the Black Magic spell Blizzard. Another scene takes place afterwards.The party continues upstairs to floor 5F. Palom begins teaching Leonora the Thunder spell. She learns the Black Magic spell "Thunder?", which she must use against Palom's Thunder Doll.The party gains control in the northeast of the outer section of 5F.Southwest of the stairway, a chest contains a Healing Staff.Leonora reaches Level 15 and learns the Black Magic spell Poison.Near the next stairway in the north, there is a healing pot.The party takes the next stairway down to the western section of 4F.In the southwest dead end of 4F, chests contain a Tent and Echo Herbs.The party takes the next stairway up to the middle section of 5F.They take the eastern stairway up to floor 6F. East of the stairway, a chest contains a Sage's Miter. Leonora equips this right away.Another save point is north of the stairway, so the party saves here.Near the south-central stairway, there is a dead end with a helpful healing pot.The description is continued in the comments.
