Brayden Royse was in a serious car accident last year and relearned how to walk, talk and use his hands again with the help of the rehab team at Aurora Health Center in Kenosha. During his recovery, music served as a motivator for him and his family. Over the weekend, Brayden had the unique opportunity to be a Summerfest VIP, where he got to meet the Goo Goo Dolls and attend their show. This special experience was made possible thanks to our partnership with Summerfest.You inspire us, Brayden! 🎶🎸🤘

Stephanie has multiple sclerosis and recently went through in-patient rehab learning how to walk, talk and do other day to day tasks again. Stephanie used music as a way to get words back during rehab. Mötley Crüe is a group Stephanie has always dreamed of seeing live.Thanks to Aurora Health Care’s partnership with Summerfest, Stephanie was able to not only see Mötley Crüe in concert, but also had a VIP meet and greet before the show.Rock on, Stephanie! 🎶🎸🤘

Brandee Staude, Nurse of the Year – Aurora West Allis Medical Center, is known for her patient-centered approach which enhances each patients’ experience at the Aurora West Allis Women and Family Care Center. Here, she is a member of the postpartum hemorrhage simulation team with special training in debriefing assessment for simulation in health care.Brandee is a true advocate with a heart for her community. Last year, she organized an in-service event for community members and teammates to raise human trafficking awareness. She also co-sponsored a collection drive of much-needed items and monetary donations to support human trafficking survivors. We're teaming up with Summerfest to bring Aurora Health Care patients together with the biggest stars ⭐️ in the music industry 🎶 to make special memories 📸 at the world's largest music festival. We kicked off opening night with Laura Fowle from Streamwood, IL who got to meet country music star Kane Brown. Laura is a breast cancer patient who is undergoing radiation therapy in Park Ridge, IL. Laura and her family are huge Kane Brown fans and got to meet him backstage prior to his set. Stay tuned for more #WinningMoments with your favorite artists throughout Summerfest!

Aurora Medical Center – Kenosha recently celebrated its 25-year anniversary, and a special event for teammates, physicians and community members was held to commemorate the quarter century of growth and service to the community. The evening highlighted the hospitals growth from 44 beds and a handful of physicians in 1999, to a premier community hospital with 74 beds and 819 physicians, employing 1,400 people, including 476 nurses today. Founding members of the medical group were honored and the Capelli family of Kenosha received special recognition for their rich history of service to Aurora and the community. A new fundraising campaign for Diabetes Wellness programs was kicked off at the event. The funds will go to wellness programs addressing diabetes in Kenosha County.

Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center recently began offering a new treatment option for patients with coronary artery disease. A drug-coated balloon (DCB) is used to clear and expand arteries where a stent is already in place, offering a better and safer alternative to our patients.
