Ulyssa has been a Pinkerton for 7 years now and very respected. She always gets the job done. She always works alone. Yes, she has a nick name among the other Pinkertons, but she won’t let that stop her. Now she is thrust into the company of a man and must not only work with him but train him along they way. How revolting. Sam is the man she is to train. Sam was an outlaw and his sister got him this job in the hopes of turning him around. Sam wants to make good and make his sister proud of him. Their assignment is an odd one. A highly respected and wealthy ranchers’ daughter is in love with a man that her dad does not approve of. Roy the father wants the Pinkertons to break up Rusty (his daughter) and Cade’s relationship. There is a lot of humor between Ulyssa and Sam. And there are some twists that the reader will enjoy. Give this book a try and enjoy the journey of Ulyssa, Sam, Rusty and Cade. Will bring some chuckles and smiles.

Seasoned Agent Ulyssa is known as the Ice of Hearts. A hard life has taught her to not let her heart get involved. Now she's got to train her new partner; a partner she never wanted. Not only that, but he used to be an outlaw!
We met Sam in #47 (An Agent for Evangeline). After his sister and her husband help him turn his life around, he's determined to start over. If only this dragon woman of a partner would ever let him forget his past.
Can they do their job and finish the case even though they despise each other? A Father wants to keep his daughter from marrying the man she thinks she loves. Can he be trusted or is there another reason he's hanging around?
This is a clean, sweet romance.
I thought it was an interesting plot, but I would have preferred if it stuck to the requirement of partners having to marry first, even if they had to get it annulled. That would fit with the rest of the Pinkerton Matchmaker stories better. But it was still a good story.

The book did not follow the series The book was okay except for the fact that it did not follow the series in continuity. 59 books had the agents marry in order to protect the reputation of the lady. This book did not. Almost felt disrespectful to Ulyssa that the author would not begin by protecting her reputation from the start. I am very big on continuity in series. This book while a good story, was not at all about being a Pinkerton but just a rather nice romance.

This story brought a new dimension to the Pinkerton stories. It was a chance to meet up with Sam again. Thankfully he is still on the straight and narrow. Two twists show up right at the beginning. One, the experienced agent is the female partner, second, Archie doesn't require Ulyssa and Sam to marry before they leave. That's all I'm going to tell you. You have to read the book to find out the rest of the twists. I really enjoyed this

'Nothing like a good woman to ruin a bad man' So many twists and turns in this book, Ulyssa and Sam both have lessons to learn, judgements to regret and unexpected futures to grasp with both hands and hold on tight. Love is sometimes found in the most unexpected places!
A great addition to the series, which I read on Kindle Unlimited.

lGreat. Stupendous A small difference in the format of of this. It did not seem to matter in my opinion. This was a delightful book showing a man and is abiding faith in God and the deep love for his daughter. I find such glory when God puts the right people together.

Two book 60's ?? I don't know who does the numbering of the Pinkerton series, but I have noticed something before now. Sometimes numbers have been skipped, but this is the first time it doubled up. I really like this series and would hate to miss one. 🤔

So many twists and turns This book is full of such fun characters and lots of twists and turns. The only case they will solve pertains to matters of the heart. It’s a very enjoyable read.

Mismatched pair This story brings new life into the Pinkerton Series. Two his matched Pinkertons. She's a city girl; an ice queen. He knows the West; an outlaw. Set together to break up another couple. Not your run of the mill mystery, but a masterful plot.

Yes! Very refreshing! Two agents who can't stand each other have to break up a couple who love each other while pretending to be in love. They aren't at all good at it. Oh what a tangled web was weaved. Seeing it all fall apart was so enjoyable.

This book had a crazy number of stupid mistakes. It seemed like someone was in such a hurry to get it released they didn’t carefully edit it. It was really distracting and disjointed. The story line was an interesting and original one for this series of books.

Loved the characters! The dislike for each other had me laughing throughout this book. Definitely different from most of the other agents but in a good way. I loved that there were two different couples involved, this story was so fun that I didn’t want it to end!

Twist This was a twist in the Denver Pinkerton Agency rules! They did not have to get markedly on assignment. Ulyssa and Sam are hired g a prosperous rancher to break up his daughter's infatuation. - Babs

Good read Well that certainly had a different ending than most of the series, and I loved it! Sometimes you just have to listen and let Spirit help you let go of the roll you are trying to stuff people into. Enjoy 👍👍👍💜

Loved it! It was fun to read a story with a little bit of a twist. Sam and Ulyssa definitely were not a good match. Great to see them get their HEA!!
